The weather was perfect for an early kick off on Saturday as the MUFC under 11A Black Panthers took on St George's Basin. The team was excited to be back on the field after weeks of isolation, home learning and just a few training sessions. Everyone remembered all they had been previously taught and went straight to work passing the ball beautifully, finding space and supporting each other on the field. It was a close match with both teams showing great determination and skill. The game was drawn at 2 all when Basin put away a goal with just minutes to spare. The final score being 3-2 Basin's way. The Panthers played exceptionally well and all should be proud of their efforts. They demonstrated impressive skill, speed, defence and most importantly all were great sports! A huge thank you to coach Paul and manager Kelly for all of their hard work. We look forward now to next weeks's game against Illaroo at Lighthouse Oval.
